Adrian College

I serve as Vice President and Dean for Academic Affairs at Adrian College.  The VPAA appointment is concurrent with an appointment as Professor of Political Science in the Department of Political Science.   The VPAA at Adrian College leads all academic departments and programs as well as Academic Services, Career Planning, Information Services, Institutional Research, the Registrar, and Shipman Library.

Oakland University
Through mid-2006, I served as Associate Professor of Political Science, Director of the
Master of Public Administration (MPA) Program at Oakland University, and Coordinator of the OU Undergraduate Criminal Justice Concentration.

ACE Fellowship
As you may know, I was awarded an American Council on Education (ACE) Fellowship for 2003-04.  The Fellowship is awarded to approximately 30 of 500+ faculty nominees nationwide.  Fellows are nominated by their university President/Provost.....I was nominated by Oakland University President Gary D. Russi.  According to the ACE, the
ACE Fellows Program is "the premier higher education leadership development program in the country. It identifies and prepares senior faculty and administrators to become skilled in the leadership of change.

I served my Fellowship at three institutions of higher education in San Diego County including  Alliant International UniversitySan Diego State University and the  San Diego Community College District.
